Racing to the hen house
Checking on the chickens used to be a chore. That is until they started laying eggs. Now we both jump at the chance to see who can find the eggs first. Nick usually beats me to it. He loves to check for eggs! We raced to the hen house today, but Nick got there first again.
Cracked one open today and a double yoked one this time.

When they first start laying, they have some pretty weird eggs, but they settle into laying nice normal eggs after a few weeks. We got several double-yolkers, but no triples! LOL! We also got one that was about the size of my thumbnail with no yolk at all! I noticed that those yolks of yours are nice and orange. YUMMY!
