Hand drill
Remember that hand drill that some friends gave me? Today I had my first chance to use it on a real job!
Less than 15 seconds to go all the way through a 3/4-inch piece of external OSB and not a drop of electricity consumed for it!
I love it!
Hand drill
Some very good friends of ours dropped us off a couple gifts the other day.
They had found an antique hand drill at a store and purchased it for me. I am quite impressed.
It is a Millers Falls Tools Drill No. 5 made in Greenfield, Mass.
According to this site, it was made sometime after 1931.
Very cool.
Tonight I grabbed one of my drill bits and was testing out to see how it works when the top handle came a bit loose. It occurred to me that it looked as though there might be storage space in there. And sure enough there was, and inside the storage space were three drill bits.
