Temperature
Oh boy, the National Weather Service says the temperature is 11 degrees outside right now! And that’s not counting wind chill!
I have to say that I was more than a little worried about the chicks last night. When I went to check on them last night, they were all smashed into one corner of the coop.
But I just fed them and they seem none the worse for wear. I am so thankful.

Wow.
Yesterday and this morning we’ve had temps just about 70 degrees.
That was until about five minutes ago.
Noel and I were outside watching the chickens. And we were nice and warm.
Then all of a sudden it was like someone had opened the freezer door.
About 12:30 our outside thermometer had read almost 70. Now at 12:40 it reads less than 60 and it is still falling.
Talk about a change of temp!

Sustained winds in the 35-40 miles per hour range. Gusts to nearly 60!
It is crazy windy outside today.
